Our Commitment: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy outlines Orient Tours’ (OT) commitment to operating ethically, sustainably, and with profound respect for the communities, environments, and cultures we engage with. We recognize that our company’s success is intertwined with the well-being of the larger global system—a system encompassing people, values, nature, and other organizations.
We are dedicated to ensuring that our operations leave a positive legacy on the world, giving back to the destinations that host us.

Policy Scope & Application
This policy applies to Orient Tours, all of its subsidiaries, and is extended to guide the conduct of our suppliers, partners, and vendors. We expect all parties involved in delivering our services to adhere to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism outlined below.

Core Elements of Our CSR Strategy
We strive to be a responsible business that not only meets legal requirements but actively promotes positive change across three key pillars: Environment, Community, and Ethical Business Practices.
1. Environmental Responsibility & Sustainability 🌿
As a tours company, we have a direct stake in preserving the natural beauty and ecological health of the places we visit.
  • Sustainable Operations: We commit to minimizing our carbon footprint by optimizing our vehicle fleet, promoting the use of public or non-motorized transport where feasible, and encouraging clients to participate in low-impact tourism.
  • Waste Management: We implement and promote ”Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” practices in our offices and during tours, minimizing single-use plastics and ensuring responsible disposal of waste in sensitive locations.
  • Conservation Support: We will actively support local wildlife and habitat conservation efforts by partnering with relevant NGOs or dedicating a portion of our profits to preservation projects in our tour destinations.
2. Supporting the Community & Local Economy 🤝
We are committed to investing in the local people and cultures that make our tours unique.
  • Community Investment: Orient Tours will initiate and support community investment, educational, and cultural programs. This may include:
    • Partnering with local schools or organizations to support vocational training in hospitality and tourism.
    • Sponsoring cultural festivals or restoration projects that preserve local heritage and traditions.
  • Local Economic Development: We prioritize the hiring of local staff and the procurement of goods and services from local vendors and small businesses. This ensures that the economic benefits of tourism are shared directly within the host communities.
  • Fair Trade Tourism: We ensure that our partnerships with local guides, artisans, and service providers reflect fair wages and ethical working conditions.
3. Ethical Business Practices & Professionalism
We adhere to the highest standards of integrity in all our business dealings.
  • Ethical Conduct: We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for all forms of corruption, bribery, and unethical conduct.
  • Human Rights: We are committed to upholding human rights and ensuring safe and fair labor practices across our entire value chain, specifically rejecting any form of forced or child labor.
  • Customer Transparency: We are transparent about the environmental and social impacts of our tours, empowering our customers to make responsible travel choices.

Review and Reporting
Orient Tours will regularly review this policy and our related practices to ensure they remain relevant and effective. We commit to reporting on our CSR activities and progress annually through our website to maintain accountability and transparency with our stakeholders.
